{"id":104726,"date":"2025-10-17T18:23:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T18:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/?p=104726"},"modified":"2025-10-17T19:16:54","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T19:16:54","slug":"bike-path-closure-game-day-parking-and-relocation-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2025\/10\/bike-path-closure-game-day-parking-and-relocation-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Bike path closure, Family Weekend and game day parking and relocation guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Oct. 17, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please be aware of the following changes related to student parking and use of the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Bike Path in advance of Family Weekend, which begins Oct. 24, and the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ home football game against Bryant University, scheduled Saturday, Oct. 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bike Path Closure<\/strong><br>The section of the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Bike Path that runs through Meade Stadium will close at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. The north and south gates of Meade Stadium will be locked. The bike path gates will reopen on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Parking Lot Closures<\/strong><br>Students parked in the southeast corner of Plains Road Lot 25&nbsp;<strong>must<\/strong>&nbsp;move their vehicles by&nbsp;<strong>Thursday, October 23, 2025 by 8 p.m<\/strong>. Vehicles in this area after 8 p.m. will be subject to citation and towing at owner\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Saturday, Oct. 25, the following parking lots will be closed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plains Road Lots 25 and 31: Lots close at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keaney Lot 26: Lot closes at 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ram Lot 23: Lot closes at 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relocation Parking Lots<\/strong><br>Students who have parking permits for Lot 25, Plains Road or Lot 26, Keaney may start relocating their vehicles at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, to the following lots on campus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lot 20, Flagg Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lot 21, Flagg Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lot 6, Fine Arts South<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lot 7, Fine Arts North<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/904\/º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½-KingstonCampusMap-Web-FINAL.pdf\">view the campus map<\/a>&nbsp;to review all relocation lots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Violation of Parking and Relocation Guidelines<\/strong><br>It is an essential component of the game day experience that students with vehicles in Lot 25 or Lot 26 relocate by the determined time. Any car remaining in a closed lot after the closure time is subject to citation and towing at the owner\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Following Game Day<br><\/strong>Registered vehicles may return to their designated lots 2 hours after the game ends.
